  • What is the Fairground's Smoking Policy? +
    Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Fairgrounds except for designated smoking tents. This includes the use of electronic cigarettes and vaporizers. Please see Fair map for locations.
  • Are dogs allowed on the fairgrounds? +
    No, dogs are not allowed on the fairgrounds.

  • What are the age ranges for your different ticket prices? +
    Senior is 62+, Adult is 13-61, Child is 6-12 Child under 6 are free. For complete ticketing info click here
  • Where do I pick up Will Call tickets? +
    The Will Call Booth is located next to the Yellow Gate on Pleasanton Ave., left of the bus circle.

    During Fair Hours: 10am to 9pm

    NOTICE: Will Call will be closed at 4pm on the 4th of July

    $10 General Parking (Gate 8 & Gate 12 - Valley Ave)

    $15 Preferred Parking (Gate 8),

    $20 VIP Parking (Pleasanton Ave).

  • Which rides does the carnival wristband let you ride FREE? +
    Rides in the Carnival Kids Park and Midway only. There are a few extreme rides like the Spider Mount, Euro Bungee and Mechanical Bull that charge a small fee.
  • How old do I have to be to work at the Alameda County Fair? +
    You need to be 16 years of age to work at the 2017 Alameda County Fair. Apply here

    Note: Vendors will be setting up their booths on June 16th. Interested students in the 14 - 15 age range are welcome to walk around the Fairgrounds and talk to vendors about job opportunities.
  • What services are available for the disabled at the Fair? +

    The Fair offers Wheelchair and Electric Scooter rentals. You must submit a drivers license as deposit - first come, first serve. Daily rentals are:

    Wheelchair - $12 (until 10 pm)
    Electric Scooter - $45 (until 10 pm).
    The Amphitheater and Grandstands provide handicap access and seating. For more information contact Guest Services at (925) 426-7600.
  • What can I bring into the Fair concerning Food and Drink? +
    You can bring food into the Fairgrounds. No Glass Bottles, Cans, or Alcohol of any kind. All bags, picnic baskets, etc. will be searched at the entrance gates for general security purposes.
  • Are BBQ Pits allowed at the Fairgrounds +
  • Does the Fairgrounds offer a comfortable area for nursing mothers? +
    The Guest Service Trailer (Red Zone), Baby Depot (Yellow Zone), along with a few family friendly restrooms throughout the grounds are available for nursing mothers.

    Information booths are located near entrance gates in each zone and outside the concert amphitheater.
  • What is the Military Free Policy (Active Duty and Veterans)? +
    Military are Free every day with valid Military ID. Veterans are free with proof of service.
