Media Credential Policy
ALL REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR TO INTENDED VISIT
Email credential request including name, media organization and title to the Marketing and Communications Department: email@example.com or call 925-567-6588. Please include name and title of all working Media attending Fair.
All working Media must be escorted by a member of the Alameda County Fair Marketing and Communications Team. Access to the Fair without an escort requires pre-approval, which may be granted on a case-by-case basis under some circumstances. Please contact the Department at least 24 hours in advance to set up your visit.
Press Passes are for working Media only. Please do not use Press Passes for personal use.
To enter the Fairgrounds, follow the Gate 2 Access instructions attached.
Alameda County Fair reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who does not comply with these guidelines.
Gate 2 Access
Gate 2 is a restricted, permit-only parking area for Media and Special Guests.
Gate 2 will not be accessible to media on 7/4/18. Media will need to use Gate 12 for access to the Fair on 7/4/18.
All Media/Judges/Emcees/VIPs are to enter the fairgrounds through the Gate 2 entrance off of Bernal Avenue. To reach Gate 2, exit the I-680 freeway at Bernal Avenue in Pleasanton and drive east on Bernal Avenue. Gate 2 is located about 0.4 miles from the exit and is marked on the fence as Gate 2. Enter through the left turn about ½ block before the light at Pleasanton Ave. If passed, just make a U-Turn at the light and enter from the right lane.
Upon arrival at the gate, you will be greeted by a security guard/Admission Staff who will ask for the name of your company and the Fair contact. An escort will be contacted and dispatched to check you in. You will be given a parking pass and entrance into the Fair at check-in.
Media/Judges/Emcees/VIPs will NOT need additional Parking or Admission Passes as these are provided through the check-in process at Gate 2. All judges are to arrive 30-60 minutes prior to the start of the event.
