Ticket Seller: $13.75/hr
Must be 18 or older
Sells and reconciles tickets for entrance to the Fair. Background Check required.
Ticket Taker: $12.50/hr
Greets guests, takes tickets, and verifies credentials at entrance to the Fair.
Seating Attendant: $12.50/hr
Oversees reserve seating in our amphitheater, action sports arena & racing grandstands.
Parking Lot Seller: $14.00/hr
Must be 18 or older
Sells tickets and makes change accurately and promptly. Background Check required.
Tram Driver: $13.50/hr
Must be 18 or older
Drives a tram in a responsible manner.
Parking Lot Attendant: $13.00/hr
Assigns vehicles to parking spaces, directs traffic, and verifies credentials.
Tram Attendant: $12.50/hr
Assists fair patrons on and off the trams in a safe and responsible manner.
Assists Agriculture Department with judging, setup, and instillation of Competition Entries.
Fine Arts: $12.00/hr
Assists Fine Arts Department with judging, setup, and instillation of Competition Entries.
Creative Living: $12.00/hr
Assists Creative Living Department with judging, setup, and instillation of Competition Entries.
Assists Hobby Department with judging, setup, and instillation of Competition Entries.
Assists Gardens Department with watering and daily garden maintenance.
Livestock Barn Crew: $13-$15/hr
Helps set up and clean up barns for livestock shows.
Smalls Animals: $12.00/hr
Sales and maintenance of small animals.
Barnyard Staff: $13.00/hr
Educates the public and takes care of the barnyard animals.
Helps deliver the STEAM Program to fairgoers.
Guest Service Representative: $12.50/hr
Handles Fairgoers questions & concerns. Helps supervises lost children.
Building Attendants: $12.50/hr
Monitors the Commercial Sales Buildings and assists with keeping them clean.
Event Operations: $13-$15/hr
Helps with setup and tear down for events within the Fair.
AM Janitor (4am–10am): $16.00/hr
Cleans grandstand area during our live racing meets.
PM Janitor (12pm-6pm): $16.00/hr
Cleans grandstand area after our live racing meets.
Grandstand Racing Office Clerk: $12.00/hr
Supports the Grandstand Staff with various duties in the office.
Program Seller: $13.50/hr
Sells racing programs to the public in the Grandstands.
Auditor, Food Concessions: $12-14/hr
Based on experience
Assists Accounting Department with auditing food vendors. Must have cash register experience and be proficient in Excel with attention to detail.
Volunteer Program Representative: $12.50/hr
Assists the Volunteer Supervisor in implementing and running our Volunteer Program.
Must be 18 or older to work in this department
Grounds Shuttle Driver: $12.50/hr
Shuttles vendors and entertainers.
If offered a position with the Alameda County Fair, you will be required to provide documents that establish your identity and authorize your eligibility to work in the U.S. If you are age 17 or younger, you will be required to provide a valid work permit available through your school, unless you have already graduated from high school. You must be at least 16 years old to work at the annual Alameda County Fair. Positions in racing, cash handling or childcare require candidates to be at least 18 years old. For positions involving cash handling or childcare, you will be asked to submit and pass a background screening.
