Fair & Beverage Pairings
The best bet is to drink what you like with your meal, here are some recommendations if you want to try something new.
Burger & Fries
Burger and Fries with a beer is always good, try it with a Cabernet Sauvignon, the dark berry fruit and earthy undertones will accent the burger nicely.
Ceviche
Ceviche needs more acid to work with citrus, try an Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Gris, both have nice acidity and citrus notes to complement the dish.
Chicken Tacos
Chicken Tacos, while classic with a crisp refreshing Cerveza, try them with a Pinot Noir or Grenache Rose’ for a well balance twist. The floral notes go well with grilled chicken and cilantro.
Chinese Food
From Dim Sum to Noodle dishes, the umami is there and needs a nice balance. Try an Alberino, or Sauvignon Blanc to balance out the spicy and flavorful dish.
Corndog
Definitely a fair favorite with plenty of mustard and an ice-cold Lager beer or your favorite N/A Beverage, do I hear Lemonade?
Elote corn
Grilled, sweet, rich and salty with cotija and herbaceous with Cilantro, an Albarino or Sauvignon Blanc would be perfect given the bright acidity and grassy notes.
Fried Twinkie Or Funnel Cake
For the Fried dough a Frozen Rum Runner will do the trick, not a Rum fan, try a Chardonnay or your favorite N/A Beverage.
Grilled Cheese
Besides a bowl of tomato soup try a Pinot Blanc, or buttery Chardonnay to balance out the richness of this buttery, creamy delight.
Lamb Gyro
Well-seasoned lamb and tzatziki works well with a Mourvèdre AKA (Monestrall or Mataro) is a Rhone and Spanish Varietal that lends well to well-seasoned meats and poultry, with deep rich earthy and spicy notes.
hot pastrami Fries
Definitely need an IPA with nice acidity and citrus hops perfect to cut through the rich and peppery delight.
Lobster fries
Viognier will drive this dish home with medium plus acidity and tropical flavors a great food wine.
Nachos
Nachos scream for a freshly made Margarita or one of our frozen options, Strawberry, Raspberry or classic Lime.
Pineapple bowl
Pair this treat with a Chardonnay with its tropical notes to balance the umami of the soy, garlic and pineapple.
Sausage Sandwich
Always a favorite with an ice cold IPA or Ale. Try it with a Zinfandel if a hotlink or a Chardonnay if a Chicken Apple Sausage, you will be happy you did.
Turkey Leg
With its rich smokey flavor is always good with an Ice cold Amber Ale or a Crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Alberino. The bright acidity and citrus notes play well with the unctuousness of the grilled Turkey.
