July 4th Need to Know
The Alameda County Fair will be open on July 4th until 8pm. Enjoy a day filled with rides, entertainment, horse racing and end it with a Movie on the Lawn. Again this year, a Chaperone Policy in place and parking lots will close an hour early.

Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 21 and over
Spend July 4th with friends and family at the Alameda County Fair until 8pm. It is the only day of Fair that closes at 8pm.
Enjoy fantastic Fair food, shopping, live Horse Racing, Carnival, games, live shows and displays, All American Pig Racing, FMX shows and more.
On July 4th the Fair will celebrate our First Responders with free General Admission until 3pm.
Please Plan Ahead for July 4th
- The Fair Will be open with limited hours on July 4th only*
- Parking lots CLOSE by 3pm on July 4th only; Admission Gates CLOSE by 4pm on July 4th only
- No re-entry after 4pm on July 4th only
- Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 21 and over
- There will not be a Fireworks or Drone Show on July 4th
- Picnics are not permitted on the Fairgrounds during Fair, including on July 4th
- It is a popular day to attend the Fair, plan ahead to avoid back-ups at the Gates
- No refunds/no exchanges
July 4th Chaperone Policy
The following Chaperone Policy has been updated for July 4, or any other day necessary to ensure the safety and security of all guests, partners and staff.
- Minors 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone 21 and over
- Chaperones must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at entry
- One (1) chaperone must accompany no more than five (5) guests 17 or younger per day
- Each chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay
- Guests who are ages 17 and younger found inside the Fair unaccompanied by a chaperone are subject to ejection without a refund
